7 Law and jurisdiction
This notice will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and any disputes relating to this notice shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England
8 . Leak Detection.
a. We need to ‘see’ the maximum area of floor possible; these areas need to be as uncluttered as possible.
b. We only undertake destructive or intrusive inspection under instruction.
c. Method of detection is at the discretion of our engineer and not all equipment is applicable for every inspection.
d. We will try to work around limited access, heavily cluttered areas, refusal of methods or refusal/lack of access may result in our engineer being unable to conclude his work & our full fee will be due.
e. In multiple occupancy property (shared accommodation or flats) we may need access to adjacent properties. Where access is not possible, or leak is beyond the client’s property, this is a chargeable visit.
f. Leak detection is also considered successful where we find no leak is present from pipework in the property. (e.g. after incorrect or mistaken water authority notification or issue is damp)
g. We cannot guarantee we will find a leak as this is a non invasion leak detection service and we are not physically see the leak .
We accept no liability for:
a. Damage during normal activities, to detect, access and/or repair a leak.
b. Damage caused by undetected leaks.
c. Failure of a repair or connection to existing pipework.
d. Blockage/failure from leak detection, access or repair.
e. There are limits to what technology can provide and while Essex Restoration make ever efforts to ensure the accuracy of our reports, information is presented ‘as is’ with no warranty as to accuracy and is intended for guidance only.
F. All reports are for guidance only and essex restoration and not responsible how this is interpreted or acted upon.

Should the service you receive not meet our usual high standards, or your expectations, we would always welcome your comments and suggestions for improvement. We will deal with all complaints promptly, politely, fairly and in accordance with appropriate regulatory procedures.
How do I make a complaint?
Should you find that you are dissatisfied with our service and wish to raise an issue or complaint, please contact your local operator as per the details attached. If you do not receive satisfactory resolution, please refer the issue to:

We will be happy to respond to you by post, telephone, or email. Please ensure that you provide whichever contact details you prefer us to use. If you wish us to discuss your complaint, or any aspect of your claim, with another person and/or any other organisation on your behalf, we can do this, but will require your written authority to do so.
What will happen next if you refer your complaint to Essex Restoration:
- We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and if we are not able to resolve it within 5 working days we will advise you why and what we are doing to progress the matter.
